ELIZABETH NIEVES

Latin American Division

Elizabeth Nieves Marguez is the most recent addition to The Jorgenson Group's team of professionals. Originally from her native country Cuba, Elizabeth graduated from the University of Havana with a degree in English and Literature.

Her career path led her from teaching at the University to translating and interpreting for foreign business concerns. In recent years as Cuba refocused on tourism, Elizabeth turned her attentions to the hospitality industry where she served with Gaviota S.A. one of Cuba's most precious tour company. Her duties included, training in all aspects of tour operations.

Elizabeth then joined a major hotel chain where she was responsible for public relations. Here she honed her people skills and in doing so developed a vast network of contacts and friends from all over the world. Her last posting in Cuba was for the office of the Historian of Havana where she acted as a guide for specialized tours. Soon after immigrating to Canada, Elizabeth worked for a major telecommunications company and quickly rose to position as a staff trainer.

Elizabeth joined the Jorgenson Group in early 2007 and will be responsible to further develop strategies for projects in Cuba as well as other Latin American countries. Elizabeth is married and lives with her husband Victor in Toronto Canada.
