Meera kaur is Assistant Professor, Education and Clinical Dietitian at Department of Family Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Manitoba, Canada. She holds concurrent position as Adjunct Professor of Biochemistry, Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, University of Winnipeg, and as Director of Nutritional Wellness Services at Four Rivers Medical Clinic, Winnipeg, Canada. She holds a Ph.D. in Food Science specializing in Medical (Enteral) foods from the leading Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysore, India. Previously, she served as Associate Professor in the department of Food and Nutrition at Assam Agricultural University (a Commonwealth University), Jorhat, India for over 15 years where she has introduced several courses at undergraduate and graduate levels in the areas of Food Science and Medical Nutrition Therapy. She is a frequent speaker and has presented several research papers at international conferences such as ASPEN, ISPEN, among others, and won several awards including VARS nominee award from, ASPEN, USA. She is also a recipient of three patents for her seminal research in the area of Enteral Foods, one of which is licensed to a renowned multinational pharmaceutical company. Her research interests lie in the areas of Food Science and Clinical Nutrition, and presently she is authoring a book on medical food with a leading publisher in New York, USA.
