Shahid Shams is a Nurse Practitioner with more than 8 years of healthcare experience. Educated at the University of Manitoba, where he obtained his Nursing and Masters Degree, Shahid has spent most of his Practitioner career serving the remote northern communities of Manitoba, Nunavut and The North West Territories. It was during his time in the North that Shahid recognized the need for Nurse Practitioners to be appropriately utilized within the healthcare system. He says that the Jorgenson Group offers as environment where there is a clear recognition of the importance of a team approach to patient care. As the Director of Nurse Practitioner Services Shahid envisions Practitioner driven clinics throughout Winnipeg to assist in primary care settings and enhance patient access to healthcare services.
